Antonio, di Donato Paccinelli, fu dei Priori della città di Arezzo nel 1535. Un figlio di lui, Ser Cosimo, con deliberazione 10 dicembre 1586, fu dichiarato abile al supremo grado di gonfaloniere di giustizia, sua vita natural durante. Con successivo decreto del Consiglio generale, in data 26 giugno 1608, tale onore fu esteso a tutta la famiglia. La Deputazione sul regolamento della nobiltà e cittadinanza in Toscana, con suo decreto 8 marzo 1756, ordinò l'iscrizione nel Libro d'Oro dei patrizi d'Arezzo della famiglia Paccinelli, nei tre rami rappresentati da: 1) Capitano Donato e canonico Federigo, di Paolo Emilio; 2) Antonio, di Cosimo; 3) Ildefonso ed Anton Federigo, di Francesco. La famiglia è iscritta nell'El. Uff. Ital. col titolo di patrizio d'Arezzo (mf.) in persona dei: a) disc. da Giuseppe, di Ferdinando, di Antonio; b) disc. da Giuseppe, di Anton Federigo, di Francesco; c) disc. da Salvatore, di Paolo, di Donato.
