Le più' antiche memorie di questa famiglia, originaria di Filottrano, risalgono al periodo Comunale. Un Savino di Giacomello Accoretti, capitanava le squadre filottranesi contro la guelfa Osimo con Lippaccio e Andrea Azzolini nel 1316. Ludovico Savino Accoretti fu podestà di Apiro nel 1389. Pietro Ignazio di Alessandro nel 1749 fu chiamato erede da Giov. Batta Gentiloni con l'obbligo di aggiungere per sè e discendenti il cognome Gentiloni e lo stemma, nonchè di erigere il bel tempio di S. Maria degli Angeli di Filottrano. Francesco Accoretti Gentiloni nel giugno 1767 fu fatto erede con vincolo di primogenitura di suo zio Giovanni Palmucci ultimo di sua famiglia, con l'obbligo di chiamarsi Francesco Accoretti-Gentiloni-Palmucci, di inquartarne lo stemma e il tutto trasmettere ai suoi discendenti. Giovanni (n. 1865 dec. 1890) fu Rettore dell'Università di Macerata, presidente del Tribunale e fondò, con la consorte Federica c.ssa Spada Laviny de' Medici un "Istituto
