Antichissima é la casa nel Regno di Napoli, ove sono ormai quattro cento anni, ch'ella si spende. Guidone nell'anno 1187 per una parte di Acerno, e altri feudi, che possedeva in Gifoni mandó in Soccorso di Terra Santa sei soldati a Cavallo é cinquanta Fanti. Filippo Barone in Principato nel 1239, ebe in custodia dall'Imperatore Federico II uno degli ostaggi delle Cittá Guelfe di Lombardia, che furono mandati a custodirsi a Baroni del Regno. Ma io piú tosto credo, che Francese sia la casa d'Acerno di cui ora favelliamo, e che fiorí sotto il Regno di Re Carlo I, poiché Dalmasio di Tarascone l'anno 1275, aveva come signor di Castronuovo lite de consini con Guglielmo Visconte di Milano Signor di Confa, e con Rinaldo de Poncelli Signor d'Andretti. Questo medesimo Dalmatio (perché Tarascone dovea essere la patria) il proprio cognome di Belcrado aveva
