Antica famiglia, originaria del Varesotto. Gaetano (nato nel 1867), delegato provinciale di Brescia, cavaliere di 3° classe dell'ordine della Corona Ferrea, fu elevato nel 1853 al grado di cavaliere dell'Impero Austriaco. Il figlio di lui, Giuseppe, (nato nel 1859) con Regio Decreto 29 luglio 1898, ebbe per concessione il titolo di barone con trasmissione primogeniale mascolina e, con successivo provvedimento 18 giugno 1899, ottenne di aggiungere al proprio il casato dell'estinta altra famiglia. Motto della famiglia: Fides vim auget. Altra famiglia fu nobile sin dalla sua origine, e fino dal principio del XIV secolo diede diversi notai alla patria. Per un'eredità conseguita aggiunse al proprio il nome della estinta famiglia cremonese Dolci. Ha dato a Cremona quattro decurioni, l'ultimo de' quali fu Francesco Maria nel 1722.
