Quería que la familia Agostinetto fuera una rama de la noble familia Agosti, originaria de Como, pero se mudó a Belluno en el siglo XV, donde se unió a ese noble consejo en 1607 pero se extinguió en 1670. Sin embargo, otra rama obtuvo el título de comital. , derivado de la investidura de un quilate del condado jurisdiccional de Cesana obtenida por decreto del Senado Veneto el 28 de noviembre de 1748, en razón de feudo noble, justo, legal, gentil y antiguo. En 1759, también fue agregado al mismo Consejo, en la persona del conde Francesco y sus descendientes. Con resoluciones soberanas el 19 de noviembre de 1820, el 14 de febrero de 1821 y el 29 de octubre de 1829, se confirmó a esta familia la nobleza y el título oficial.
