Very ancient and noble family, decorated with the titles of counts of the Kingdom of Italy, Palatine accounts of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany and noble patricians of the Maritime Republic of Pisa. On the basis of what Goro Stendardi says, in a well-known essay on the ancient Pisan patrician families, and of what Mugnos and the Inveges agree, we can say that the original branch of the family, although some want it in Veneto, is a native of Pisa , to whose patriciate it is ascribed since the XII century. In fact, the D'Agostino and Augustini families would have originated from this original stock, transplanting respectively in Palermo and Siena in the first half of the 16th century, or after the 2nd Florentine conquest of Pisa, which took place in 1509.
