Famiglia catalana, pisana e siciliana; della prima scrive l'arcivescovo Agostino di Terragona, della seconda il Mugnos, e della terza l'Inveges, il quale sostiene ella essere qui venuta da Pisa sotto Carlo d'Angiò con supremi carichi: indi passata in Polizzi, Messina e Palermo. Fiorirono di questa famiglia Andreotto Agostino che col figlio Petruccio, furono maestri razionali e castellani ereditari del castello di Mazzara, un altro Pietro capitano delle armi nella città di Trapani, e vicario generale del Regno, Andreotto pretore di Palermo ecc. Possedette, al dir di Mugnos ,il feudo di Feureni ed altri.
