Alla famiglia è stato riconosciuto il titolo di patrizi. Altro ramo. Antica e nobile famiglia originaria della Sicilia. Altro ramo. Originaria di Francia dove si recarono in Terrasanta al tempo delle prime Crociate, e poi vennero in Sicilia, indi a Napoli, alla cui nobiltà furono aggregati al seggio di Montagna. In seguito si recarono in Abruzzo dove presero posto fra le più antiche ed illustri teramane, e possedettero nelle vicinanze di Teramo fin dal principio del XIV secolo i feudi di Caraccio, Caprificio, Tessano, Leognano, Catignano, Leonessa, S. Angelo, Poggio, Fornarolo ed altri. Per le turbolenze seguite in Teramo nel 1408, questa trasmigrò dopo la uccisione del duca d'Asti, cui avea preso parte, in Lecce, ove ora fiorisce tra le più cospicue col titolo
