Die alte sizilianische Familie zog im 16. Jahrhundert nach Capua, wo sie Teil dieses Adels war und wegen ihres Ursprungs und ihrer Herkunft von dieser Insel vielleicht sizilianisch genannt wurde. Guglielmo war einer der dreizehn Kämpfer von Barlettas Verteidigung. 1559 heiratete Cristoforo Costanza Fieramosca, die ihm das Lehen von Romagnano brachte. Sein Sohn Salvatore bestätigte am 20. März 1585 von Philipp II. Den Nachnamen von Albamonte Siciliano, den Adel von Capua und die Erteilung des vorgenannten Wappens, das auf seine Nachkommen übertragbar war. Giuseppe AS hatte bis zum 20. April 1709 den für Jungen und Mädchen übertragbaren Titel des Pfalzgrafen. Diese Familie wurde 1793 im Auftrag Maltas in der Person von Dionisio aufgenommen.
