Nella città famiglia, alcune volte si trovano nominati li discendeneti per Pier Mattei Albertoni, et altre volte per Paluzzi Albertoni, conforme si vede da loro Istrumenti antichissimi nell'Archivio del Popolo Romano, e così anche dalle sepolture antiche di detta famiglia posto iin Santa Maria Campitelli, in una delle quali, che sta in mezzo alla Chiesa, dell'anno 1395, si vede l'infrascritta inscrittione Nobilis vir Petrus Matteus Jacobi Juidicis Angeli de Albertonibus. e nella medesima si vede scritto barbaramente Paolucci Petri Mattei de Albertonibus talchè si
