Pedro II, por carta de 19.8.1687, em favor de Manuel Telles da Silva, segundo conde de Vilar Maior, senhor da Vila de A., regedor da Casa a Suplicação, do Conselho de Estado, etc. A varonia desta família era e Telles da Silva (ramo da Casa dos Senhores de Vagos, cf. Marqueses de Vagos); actualmente é a dos Condes de Bertiandos, pelo casamento da 12ª condessa de Tarouca D. Eugénia Telles da Silva Caminha e Menezes com Sebastião Pereira a Silva de Sousa de Menezes, filho segundo dos 2º condes de Bertiandos (cf. Brandão de Melo na 2ª parte). Anexação da Casa dos marqueses de Penalva-condes de Tarouca pelo casamento (1746) do 6º conde de Vilar Maior, Manuel Telles da Silva, com sua prima D. Eugénia de Menezes, 2ª marquesa de Penalva. Anexação da representação da Casa dos condes de Bertiandos pelo falecimento s. g. (1929) do 3º conde de Bertiandos Gonçalo Pereira da Silva de Sousa Menezes, irmão primogénito do mencionado 12º conde de Tarouca. Timbre: de Teles de Menezes.
