Die Familie ist lombardischen Ursprungs. Seit 1517 ist sie Inhaberin von Geldern in der Region Varese und hatte ein Zuhause in Mailand, wo die Alemagnas für fortlaufend aufeinanderfolgende Abschlüsse oder Notare oder Juristen waren.
