Originating in Busca, then in Poirino and Asti, they have safe memories with Antonino, who was standard bearer of a militia company (21 February 1568) and captain of the count of Camerano's colonel (5 January 1589). A Biagio, who died valiantly at the battle of Parma (1734), captain in the riflemen regiment, had married Lucrezia, sister of Count Giuseppe Grimaldi, from Busca. He bought the fiefdom of Bellino and had it invested in solidarity with his nephew Giuseppe di Biagio (22 February 1734) with a comital title. Hence the surname in Count Giuseppe, who remained widower of Vittoria Maria Elisabetta Gazzelli di Selve, entered the sacred orders obtaining to retain the fiefdom, for license 26 February 1779.
