Questa casa detta pure d'Auferio godette anche gli onori del patriziato napolitano del Sedile di Nido e del patriziato di Salerno del Sedile di Campo. Vi furono Giustizieri di provincie e capitani regi. Salvo d'Offiero di Ravello, sindaco della sua patria nel 1304, si adoperò presso re Carlo II perchè confermasse capitoli fatti da quella città per il suo buon reggimento. Nicola, eletto vescovo di Nola nel 1349, morì in Avignone prima di esservi consacrato. Altro Nicola fu vescovo di Boiano nel 1413. Bartolomeo fu Governatore di Ascoli nella Marca d'Ancona, nominato da Papa Innocenzo VII. Nicola, signore di Castelpetroso, valente ed esperto capitano della scuola del Caldora. Insieme al conte di Altavilla assistette il famoso conduttiere negli ultimi istanti di sua vita, a dì 15 novembre 1440, per improvviso malore sopraggiuntogli, mentre stava a cavallo con i detti suoi due figli luogotenenti, stando accampato con le sue truppe presso
