Antiguo linaje de Aragón. Algunos de sus miembros se hallaron en la toma de Cuenca. Juan Martínez de A., caballero aragonés, asistió como hijodalgo a las Cortes celebradas en Zaragoza en 1395. Una rama de este linaje pasó a establecerse a la ciudad de Caravaca (Murcia), en tiempos de los Reyes Católicos. Esta familia trae por armas: en azur, ondas, de azur, y plata; partido de gules, con una torre de plata, y bordura de oro, con ocho aspas de gules; medio cortado de oro, con una encina de sinople.
