Brunoro, il primogenito dei due figli di Antonio Maria ed Origa Gambara che ebbero discendenza, fu condottiero di 50 uomini d'arme e di 100 cavalli leggeri per la Repubblica Veneta e si segnalò nei combattimento di Ghiradadda. Seguì poi l'imperatore Massimiliano, che, nominatolo suo consigliere e luogotenente, gli rinnovò l'investitura del castello di Cologna, che era stato tolto ai Serego dai guelfi veronesi nel 1194. Da Massimilla Martinengo ebbe Annibale (che sposata Lucia di Collalto formò un ramo durato solamente circa un secolo) e Marco Antonio, che fu il capostipite dei Serego Alighieri, perchè l'ultimo rampollo di Dante, il canonico Francesco la cui nipote egli aveva sposato (1549) lasciò ai discendenti maschi di lui (con testamento 12 agosto 1558) insieme con la sua sostanza anche l'obbligo di portarne il glorioso cognome. Suoi figli furono: Pieralvise, Estore (che fu capitano alla Canea e si trovò venturiero nella felice giornata di Lepanto),
