This Norman family came to the Kingdom following Roberto Guiscardo. It was first called de Letti or Leto by the fief of Castel Letti, and then Castelluccia and Pappasiderio for the possession of the fiefdoms of this name. It was said in the last of Alitto name preserved by the descendants, and it is said that they were so called to use the wings in the emblem. This family enjoyed nobility in Sicily and in the cities of Bitonto, Chieti, Sulmona, Bisignano, Tropea Castelluccia and Diano where a branch settled in around 1600.
