Ich wollte, dass diese Familie aus dem Allia- oder Ellia-Volk der Zeit der Römischen Republik stammt, das, nachdem es Zecchieri hatte, seinen Namen auf die Münzen gestempelt hat. Er genoss den Adel in den Städten Mailand, Palermo, Pisa, Noto und in Griechenland. Es wurde im Auftrag Maltas im Jahre 1530 erhalten. Denkmäler davon sind in Palermo in den Kirchen von S. Francesco, S. Maria di Gesù, S. Francesco di Paola und den Riformati zu sehen. Sie hatten viele Baronien, darunter die von Castellamare del Golfo, Conforto, Corvitello und anderen. Es hatte die Landschaft von Caltabellotta und die Ducati von Pietratagliata, Sala Paruta
