François, écuyer, fut élu tiers consul de la ville d'Aix en 1649. Claude obtint des lettres d'anoblissement en juin 1724, elles furent enregistrées le 21 avril 1725; il fut consul d'Aix en 1690. Il épousa Claide de Troussier, dont il eut Melchior-Louis-boniface de Bussan, qui fut élu conseiller au parlement de Provence et épousa Anne-Henriette-Thérèse de Régina, dont est venue la descendance. Cette famille compte un prieur, un évêque de Malte et un prieur de l'église de saint-Jean d'Aix. Félix, fut élu consul de la ville d'Aix en 1724 et en 1781; un autre membre de cette famille fut nommé assesseur.
