En el lugar de La Bastida, del partido judicial de Sequeros (Salamanca), tuvo casa esta familia, de la que fué Pdro de A., natural de La Bastida, que casó con su deuda doña María de A., de igual naturaleza, y fueron padres de Pedro de A. y A., natural de La Bastida, que contrajo matrimonio con doña Magdalena Quintano, natural de Madrid (hija de Diego Quintano, natural de la villa de Salas de Bureba, partido judicial de Briviesca y provincia de Burgos, y de su mujer doña Beatriz de Sotilla, natural de la villa de Montealegre, en la provincia de Valladolid), naciendo de esa unión. Lupercio de A. Quintano, natural de La Bastida y caballero de Santiago, en cuya Orden ingresó el 29 de Noviembre de 1655. Las armas de este apellido no constan el manuscrito de donde hemos tomado los datos que anteceden. Ignoramos también si este apellido de A. es el mismo de A.
