Ancient and very noble Sicilian family, with residence in Trapani, called Amari or Amaro, whose progenitor, according to Mugnos, would be found in a Leonardo, administrator of the R. Palazzo and gentleman of Philip III of Aragon's room. Indi, his son Filippo, was a gentleman in the chamber of Queen Maria and granted the fiefdom of Gibilivasili, in the territory of Salemi, by King Martino, in 1397.
