En el barrio llamado de A. (cuyo nombre tomó), del Ayuntamiento de Galdámes y partido judicial de Valmaseda (Vizcaya). Juan de A. y Loyzaga Manrique de Guzmán fué Caballero de la Orden de Calatrava y Regidor perpetuo de Toro (Zamora). Fundó mayorazgo en 1750 sobre sus tierras, casas y palacios. Sostuvo pleito en 1744, con la Justicia, la Iglesia Colegial y los conventos de San Ildefonso, Carmen Descalzo y San Francisco, sobre la validez o nulidad de otro mayorazgo, pleitio que ganó su hijo Juan de Amaviscar y Monroy.
