Ancienne famille romaine, appelée Amodio, Amodei, Omodei ou Amidei, dont le plus ancien souvenir remonte à 1308, ou plutôt dans un acte de location, dans lequel Nicolò A. dirige la ferme appelée Frassineti, du monastère de San Ciriaco. Francesco, fils du susmentionné Nicolò, fonda une chapelle sous le titre de Santa Maria et San Gio. Battista, dans l'église de San Nicolò degli Arcioni, datée de 1324 (dans les archives du couvent de San Marcello). En 1339 Lorenzo de Amodei, scribe du Sénat et précurateur du monastère de San Ciriaco (pour l'instruction dans les Archives de Santa Maria in Via Lata) est retrouvé et il exerça cette fonction jusqu'en 1337. En 1466 Bernardo, fils de Lionardo Amodei, a été admis dans la Confrérie du Sauveur. En 1653, nous notons un Felice Amodei (né en 1619), un gentilhomme de la région de Pigna, selon l'ordre alphabétique authentifié en 1653 par le conservateur
