Procede este linaje de Navarra. Una de sus casas solariega está sita en la villa de Villalba, del partido judicial de Pamplona. De Navarra salió en servicio del Rey Don Jaime I el Conquistador, Sancho de A., que asistió a la toma de Alicante y quedó en esta ciudad establecido, así como sus descendientes. Más tarde pasaron los A. de Alicante a Murciá y en esta última capital fundaron nueva casa. En el año de 1419, Martín Pérez de A., vecino de Murcia, hizo probanza de nobleza, autenticada por Pedro de Terrana, Secretario del Rey Don Pedro de Aragón, demostrando que él, sus padres, abuelos y otros antecesores suyos fueron caballeros del brazo militar. Este Martín Pérez de A., como hijodalgo que era, fué admitido a los oficios que la ciudad de Murcia repartía a los nobles, como consta en el libro Anual del Archivo de dicha población, años 1446
