Famiglia spagnola che si trasferì in Sardegna nel secolo XVI. Nei primi decenni del secolo ebbero ereditariamente l'ufficio di capitano di giustizia di Iglesias; successivamente ricopersero altri importanti uffici. Nel 1528 furono ammessi allo stamento militare durante il parlamento Villanova. Di questa famiglia non si hanno più notizie dal secolo XVII. Altro ramo. Di questa distinta famiglia non abbiamo altra notizia se non quella che ci dà il Mugnos citando un Luigi de Andrada che con altri cavalieri passò di Spagna in Sicilia sotto re Alfonso. Altra famiglia oriunda spagnuola dei Conti di Trastamare, si trova stabilita in Taranto fino dal 1513. Si estinse nel secolo XVII. La presenza del motto nella bibliografia documentata della famiglia ci conferma l'avita nobiltà raggiunta della casata. Infatti l'origine del motto risale a circa il XIV secolo e deve essere ricercata in quei detti arguti che venivano scritti sui vessilli o bandiere dei cavalieri,
