Antica famiglia originaria dall'Ungheria, si tapiantò in Mantova nel 1156 con Niccolò, padre della beata Osanna. I ricercatori di Araldis segnalano un'importante lapide marmorea con stemma della famiglia Preti e Andreasi, posta nella Chiesa di Nostra Signore delle Grazie a Grazie nella provincia di Mantova, di cui riportiamo fedelmente il testo latino: "Catharinae amorotae De Andreasiis Ludovici De Pretis uxoris ipsa sicmandante hic ossa conduntur quaeobiit anno MDXXVII ult° Augusti quod autem vetustate collisum Alexander De Pretis eius Fillius ad perpetuam rei memoriam restaurari fecit MDLXXV". Altro ramo. Originaria dell'Ungheria, Alessandro la trapiantò in Ferrara circa il 1591. Fu ascritta da Clemente VIII al nobile Consiglio.
