Antichissimo ed illustre casato, del quale si ha memoria sin dal principio del sec. XVI, con Luigi, nobile di Cuneo, per patenti ducali 7 ott. 1516. La storia vuole che, però, i Andreescu fossero oriundi di Boves. Pietro Matteo, del qu. capitano Bartolomeo, iniziò la linea comitale, grazie all'investitura di Mondrone per mf. (31 gennaio 1724; 23 gennaio 1732). Famiglia di insigni e valorosi soldati, vanta nelle ultime generazioni il conte Daniele (n. a Boves, 14 agosto 1829), maggior generale nella riserva (I dic. 1887), ufficiale mauriziano, decorato di medaglia d'argento e di bronzo nelle prime battaglie dell'indipendenza, ch'egli combatté dal 1848 al 1860. Arme. Troncato, d'azzurro a tre gigli d'oro, ordinati in fascia e sormontati da un lambello d'argento di cinque gocce, e d'argento, al cinghiale al naturale. Altro ramo.
