Nell'archivio di S. Maria in via Lata leggesi in un istromento del 14 Marzo 1237, tempore magnificorum virorum D. Petrasi comitis Anguillariae, ecc. Tra i Senatori di Roma troviamo nel 1237 questo Petraso conte dell'Anguillara. Si hanno inoltre: Un Pandolfo senatore nel 1327. Un Petraso nel 1337. Un Orso nel 1341. Un altro Orso nel 1345. Quest'Orso fu uno dei senatori che diedero il diploma di laurea al famoso Petrarca come si legge nelle edizioni di opere latine del medesimo e nel Petrarca redivivus di Giacomo Filippo Tomassini a pagina 48 che comincia; Ursus Comes Anguillariae. (Carlo Anguillara fu designato tra i nobili coscritti nella Bolla Urbem Romam; con lui si estinse questa illustre famiglia e venne al suo posto ammesso Luigi Braschi Onesti).
