Descendem os Anhaias ou Anaias de D. Anião da Estrada, cujo verdeiro nome era D. Anião Trastares ou Trastamires, fidalgo asturiense, que veio para Portugal com o Conde D. Henrique, com quem se encontrou em toda as acções que empreendeu. Em 1110 recebeu da Rainha D. Teresa, então Regente do Reino, mercê do senhorio de Góis e de todos os lugares do seu território. Foi também rico-homem e senhor da honra de Sequeira, no termo de Barcelos. De sua mulher, D. Ermezenda Martins houve D. Martim Anião, que lhe sucedeu no senhorio de Verdoeiro, na honra de Sequeira e outras terras próximo de Coimbra, de cuja cidade teve a alcaidaria-mor. Fopi rico-homen do Rei D. Afonso I, com quem esteve na batalha do campo de Ourique, e se casou com D. Elvira Afonso, de cujo matrimónio nasceu D. Trastaro au Trastamiro Martins Anaia, que sucedeu em parte dos bens paternos. Deste casamento procedem os Anaias. Timbre: una cabeça e pescoço de lobo de sua cor.
