Antica famiglia di Arcevia (Ancona), il cui ricordo trovasi fin dal 1517. Anselmo, nel novembre 1731, fu eletto priore. Avendo egli, nel 1733, conseguito la laurea di dottore in legge, il patrio Consiglio gli conferì l'alta carica di Gonfaloniere aggregando così egli e la sua famiglia nell'ordine dei nobili cittadini. Tale carica egli poi la ricoprì in seguito per molte altre volte. Il suddetto Anselmo, nel 1742, fu eletto vice-governatore di Arceria e morì nel 1788, più che ottantenne. Non possiamo, inoltre, tacere il capitano Pietro e il dottore in legge Francesco (1761); il canonico Don Angelo e Pacifico, più volte gonfaloniere; Giuseppe che pure si adottorò e fu presidente della Congregazione di Carità e nel 1848 colonnello della Guardia civica, nonché esimio musicista, e come tale lasciò buoni componimenti sacri e profani.
