Anselmino fu il capo-stipite di questa nobile famiglia padovana ammessa nel Consiglio fino dal 1081. Nel 1123 Guglielmino fu console della sua patria; carica ripetuta nel 1147 in Odoardo. Illustrò questa casa Elena, religiosa clarissa morta nel 1230 ed elevata agli onori degli altari col titolo di beata nel 1695. Africano, suo padre, morì nel carcere detto la Malta, vittima del terzo Eccelino. Enselmino di Bartolomeo podestà di Civital di Belluno nel 1278. Della famiglia non si hanno più notizie dal 1600. Tali sono i principii, che da sopracitati Autori si diedero a questa famiglia, ma per esser questo fatto assai remoto, e d'historia molto lontana, lasciamo perciò a più eruditi delle sacre antichità, e dell'historie l'investigarne il suo certo principio. Quel che però di certo habbiamo, è che la casata per la loro antichità, e splendore, e per virtù militare, carrichi così laicali, come Ecclesiastici, e per ogno altro
