Der Ursprung ist nicht klar, obwohl er wahrscheinlich aus der Adelsfamilie von Antelminelli stammt. Von Lodi aus ließen sie sich in Venedig nieder und wurden im September 1646 dem Adel zugeschrieben. Die Familie der katrakanischen Grafen der Antelminelli von Fano ist keine andere als die von Lucca. Wir erinnern uns an einen edlen Ciatto degli Antelminelli aus Lucca, der 417 lebte. Die Antelminelli im Jahr 800 waren in mehrere Zweige unterteilt, die alle ihr eigenes Wappen und einen richtigen Nachnamen annahmen, wobei sie immer das "degli Antelminelli" behielten, um zu zeigen, dass sie es waren eines einzelnen Stumpfes.
