Famiglia antica di Rivoli con memorie sicure dal sec. XVI, nobilitata il 12 nov. 1626, con ampliamento d'arma, da Carlo Emanuele I. Illustre per illustri personaggi, fra cui l'avv. Giambattista, decurione di Torino, marito di Paolina Teresa del primo presidente Paolo Niger, conte d'Oulux, dalla quale venne alla famiglia il titolo comitale. Nacque da questo matrimonio, fra altri figli, l'avv. Francesco Gaetano che fece di pubblica ragione, nel 1792, le prove della nobiltà domestica e ne ottenne declaratoria camerale il 24 marzo di quell'anno. L'anno dopo acquistò parte del feudo di Costigliole su quel di Saluzzo e ne fu investito il 19 agosto 1793 col titolo baronale per maschi e una femmina. I due titoli di conte di Oulux e di barone di Costigliole furono poi riconosciuti al nipote di lui, Carlo, con D.M. 19 sett. 1884. Motto della famiglia: Sic augeor. Altro ramo. Famiglia originaria di Rivoli. L'Avv.
