Nel 1509 il 4 marzo il notaio Brachis rogava un atto a favore di Magistro Andrra de Aragonia Lanarolo. Nel 1531 pare che questa famiglia fosse già in più elevata condizione poichè viene distinta col Dominus in un atto del not. Aramanni per gli sponsali di: Nob Bernardinam de Bubalise et Dom Franciscum de Aragonia. Il cav. Icovacci ricorda Ferdinando Argonia medico romano, morto nel 1532 e sepolto a Sant'Agostino e Giovanni Luigi avvocato concistoriale nel 1539. Nel 1571 Giovan Battista Aragoni e Pietro Nicolò vendevano il casale di Radiciculi alla famiglia del Bene di Firenze. Nei documenti romani, il nome Aragonia è riportato di sovente ma si riferisce agli aragonesi che ebbero dimora in Roma, detti in latino Aragonia, mentre in volgare erano chiamati Aragon o Aragona, e non si riferiscono alla famiglia modesta detta Aragona o meglio Aragoni, forse perchè originaria di Aragona.
