La tradición familiar asentada en Italia es la misma que floreció en Lombardia, con el nombre de Condes y que pasaron a Nápoles como rehenes lombardos, apresados por el Emperador Frederic II y una vez allí renunciaron a éste y adoptaron el Ardito, el cual se transformó debido a malas transcripciones, diferente pronunciación, lenitivos y contracciones y se usó indistintamente Arditi, Ardito y Ardite como uno solo. Le encontramos ya investidos a finales de 1444, en le principado de Citra con un pequeño grupos de Valentino los ilustres de esta familia fueron buenos soldados y grandes negociadores políticos, uno de sus descendientes Geronimo A, fue caballero de Carlos V por Real decreto, el 8 de marzo de 1554; participó en numerosas batallas y en la lucha contra los Turcos, junto a su padre defendieron bravamente a su Rey y este, en agradecimiento les concedió el honor de ser caballero
