Alte Mailänder Familie, zu der im 14. und 15. Jahrhundert mehrere Dekurionen gehören. Bartolomeo (viv. 1588) war vom XII. Von Provvisione und Vater von Marco Antonio, Senator, von dem Giulio (gest. 1627), Präsident des Senats, an dessen Schriften Argelati erinnert (Bibl. Script. Mediol, 1, p 2a, S. 90 ff.). Aus diesen wurde ein weiterer Bartolomeo (1590-1674) geboren, der von König Philipp IV. Mit dipl. 11. März 1627 der XL-Dekurionen, Justizhauptmann 1636, Präsident des ordentlichen Magistrats, 1649 Regent des Obersten Rates von Italien und dann 1660 Präsident des Senats; Er baute die grandiose Villa von Cesano Maderno, jetzt von Borromeo Arese, und sein Palast in Porta Vercellina ging durch Erbschaft an die Visconti und dann an die Litta über. Er war ein weiterer Wohltäter des Maggiore-Krankenhauses, in dem sein Porträt existiert. Seine Nachkommen starben mit Giulio aus, der 1665 mit zwei Frauen an seinem Vater starb; eine, Giulia, verheiratet mit Graf
