Desde muy remotos tiempos existió el palacio o principal casa solar de este linaje en la anteiglesia de San Agustin de la villa de Orno, merindad de Durango, en el señorío de Vizcaya, de donde han procedido muchos varones eminentes, que han prestado señalados servicios a sus reyes por mar y tierra. Sebastian de A. se halló con Don Lope Diaz de Haro en servicio del santo rey Don Fernando III en la toma y socorro de Baeza, donde mostró bien su nobleza peleando con grande ánimo, mereciendo que el rey le concediese que añadiera a sus armas las aspas de gules, cuya merced se estendió a todos los que se distinguieron en aquella memorable y gloriosa victoria.
