Due famiglie, una di Venezia e l'altra di Romagna. Nel secolo XV si trasferì in Cesena esercitando la mercatura ed ivi prese la cittadinanza. Ha sepoltura nella Chiesa dei Servi in Cesena. Meritano menzione Antonio Argentino che fu frate cappuccino e valente predicatore (1728); Carlo Argentino, sacerdote e rinomato teologo, che dette alle stampe il trattato "De Scandalo" nel 1719; morì a 33 anni il 20 maggio 1729. Giacinto Argentino fu ottimo Giureconsulto ed avvocato dei poveri in Cesena; altro Giacinto il 2 maggio 1812 fu eletto Canonico della Cattedrale di Cesena; Giuseppe sposò la Contessa Olimpia Arcamo; in data 29 novembre 1792 venne aggregato coi suoi discendenti al Patriziato di Cesena. La famiglia è iscritta genericamente nell'Elenco Uff. Nob. Ital. del 1922, col titolo di Patrizio di Cesena (m.) in persona dei Discendenti da Giuseppe (1792). Altro ramo.
