Vennero da Cremona, ove erano ricchi signori col titolo di Marchesi. Un Giacomo Francesco A. fu chierico di camera di Sua Santità, e il Marchese Giovanni Battista, suo fratello, illustrarono la casa emulando le preclare gesta degli avi loro. Il primo, a nome anche del fratello e nipote, offerse al Veneto Governo la somma di 100 mile ducati, e colla parte 12 settembre 1655 furono aggregati alla veneta nobiltà. La detta parte bollattata in Senato riportò voti favorevoli 155, contrarî 5, non sinceri 6, e nel Maggior Consiglio voti favorevoli 804, contrarî 73, non sinceri 33. Si ammogliò con una figliuola di Girolamo Contarini detto Bertucci, che gli condusse pessima vita, essendo egli fiero, crudele, e bestiale. Commise molte stranezze per cui venne richiamato all'ordine dal Governo, e per la sua cattiva condotta la nobiltà lo sfuggiva.
