Giorgio gentilhuomo Armeno, ed uno de' famigliari del Rè Martino diede principio alla famiglia A. della Città di Messina. Questi hebbe carico dal suo Rè di visitarle Chiese ed i poveri, e soccorerle nelle loro necessità, perilche il Rè gl'havea assignato onze 200 l'anno. Costui hebbe per moglie Evandra figlia di Giuliano Alevandro gentilhuomo della medesma Città, la cui famiglia all'hora nobilmente fioriva. Da costoro ne nacquero Giuliano, Giovanni, e Nicolò che con ricchezze, e nobiltà vissero: e da medesmi ne pervennero Giorgio, Gio. Francesco, e Nicolò, che furono progenitori di molti gentilhuomini. Gio.Matteo hebbe dal R Ferdinando quattro salmi di Terri nell'isola di Malta nel 1514. Altro ramo. Dal Mugnos rileviamo esser questa una famiglia nobile originaria di Piacenza, passata in Sicilia sotto i reali d'Aragona, stabilendosi nella città di Lentini, ove occupò i primari uffici.
