Le prime notizie, sono incerte, sembrano risalire al sec. XV. Con l'avv. Andrea ha inizio la linea baronale, per il matrimonio di lui con Teresa Francesca Maria Ghisi, erede di punti di Castelnuovo di Nizza, di cui fu investita nel 1771. Fu loro figlio il barone Francesco, padre di Carlo; il quale ultimo, maggiore d'armata, lasciò dal suo matrimonio con Marianna Scarampi, Alessandro e Felice, morti rispettivamente nel 1879 e 1884. La figliola di Alessandro, Maria Delfina, ultima del ramo primogenito, ottenne di trasmettere il titolo (Regio assenso 12 aprile 1885) alla prole avuta dalle sue nozze con Alessandro Faraudi, e fu riconosciuta nel titolo stesso con D.M. 6 giugno 1885. Maria Delfina, di Alessandro, di Carlo, in Faraudi. Altro ramo. Gaspare Antonio Ignazio Giudice della R. Udienza a Cagliari, poi Presid. del R. Senato di Piemonte, quindi reggente la R. Cancelleria di Sardegna, nel 1721 ottenne l'infeudazione della
