Tuttora fiorenti in Ravenna ed in Pesaro, a detta di molti autorevoli storici e genealogisti, primo fra i quali Giovanni Mini, discendono dai Del Belbo di Castrocaro i quali nel maggio del 1537, colpiti dal bando di proscrizione, a causa dell'alto tradimento di Achille del Belbo e di altri suoi consanguinei contro il legittimo sovrano, ripararono in Ravenna e in Ferrara. Dal prospetto genealogico ben si vede la consanguineità dei Del Belbo col ceppo da cui derivan gli Alighieri e i Della Torre. Il ricordato Achille, figlio di Bello, fu procuratore del vescovo di Forlì nel 1616, ambasciatore più volte alla signoria di Palazzo Vecchio e agli Otto di Pratica per la provincia Tosco Romagnola dal 1516 al 1522. Sostituto provveditore delle Rocche di Castrocaro e Montepoggiolo per il dott. Cavalcante Cavalcanti di Firenze. Provvigionato dei dieci di guerra al tempo della repubblica.
