Spanische Familie und ordentlich aus Katalonien, die 1394 mit Tristano Artale und Artali nach Sizilien kam, um König Martin zu dienen. Er war ein Kastellan des königlichen Palastes, Herr von Kuba und seines Territoriums in Palermo, als Ass von Pater Dr. Ansalone und Luca Barberio. Sein Sohn Simone war ebenfalls ein Kastellan, nicht dieser Hauptmann der Hinrichtung im Jahr 1439. Durch den Widerstand gegen den Vizekönig Moncada fiel die Familie von ihrer Pracht ab und ging dann auf Ersuchen von Dr. D. Paolo Artale und durch einen Rechtsakt an Bronte, lochè provasi, über 1691 von der R. Gran Corte von Palermo erhalten. Die in Palermo lebende Linie stammt von einem Filippo Artale ab, der 1597 in Bronte lebte. Ein kanonischer Theologe von Vicenzo Artale starb im Edore der Heiligkeit, der vom Mongitore gelobt wurde.
