Famiglia originaria francese venuta con Carlo d'Angiò. Si sono viste monete con lo stemma di A., per avere individui di questa famiglia occupata la carica di Zecchieri. Questa famiglia si estinse in Ladislao Conte di S. Agata, il quale, avendo cospirato contro il re Ladislao, fu imprigionato col Conte di Terranova Errico Sanseverino, e commessa la causa a Giovanni da Capistrano Giudice della Gran Corte, fu col Sanseverino condannato nel capo come ribelle. Il detto Ladislao avea un solo figliuolo che fu condannato ad assistere alla morte del padre, e tale ne sentì dolore che ne morì. Questo fatto mise tanto terrore nell'animo del Giudice Capistrano, che, rinunziato al mondo, si fece Francescano, e poi fu beatificato. Tra i suoi possidimenti si citano le Baronie di Aversa, Bagnuolo, Boiano , Butera e molt'altre che per brevità si tralasciano; i Contadi di Celano; Cerreto nel 1399; Monteodorisio nel 1337; e Santagata
