Antica e nobile famiglia lombarda originaria del territorio comasco detta anticamente da Intimiano poi Arzago, Arzaga o de Capitani d'Arzago. propagata ne corso dei secoli in diverse città del nord Italia. L'antica nobiltà della famiglia Arzago è confermata dalla presenza del blasone nei principali armoriali italiani. Divisa in due rami, quello proveniente da Paolo fu riconosciuto nobile nel 1771, e l'altro da Antonio nel 1770. Lo stemma della famiglia Arzago è: Troncato: nel primo d'oro al castello di rosso torricellato di due pezzi, accompagnato da un'aquila di nero, coronata d'oro, fra le due torri; nel secondo bandato d'oro e di rosso. Alias.
