Très illustre maison de la Bretagne, d'une haute antiquité, dont les premiers auteurs connus sont: Geoffroy, de la paroisse de Plouha, mentionné dans deux chartes de Beauport en 1237 et 1253; Geoffroi, et Eon, priseurs commis par Charles de Blois pour faire une assiette de biens à Isabeau d'Avaugour en 1354; Alain et Jean, écuyers dans des montres de 1375 à 1382; Eonnet, varlet de Marguerite de Bretagne, comtesse de Porhoët et au nombre de ses légataires en 1428, prête serment au duc entre les nobles de Tréguier en 1427 et épouse Marguerite le Merdy; un page de Monsieur en 1789; un officier au régiment de la Sarre, fusillé à Quiberon en 1795. Autre branche: Jean, entendu dans une enquête de 1410, exhiba aux commissaires en 1426 des lettres d'anoblissement de 1423, seignées du duc Jean V; Philippe, gouverneur du château du Taureau en 1643; un lieutenant de la cour royale de Morlaix en 1696; un maire de Morlaix en 1707; un sous-lieutenant de vaisseau en 1787.
