Parece que ela veio de Taranto para a Sicília. Ele gozava de nobreza nas cidades de Messina e Taormina e em Palermo. Giovan Battista foi juiz da corte pretoriana de Palermo em 1756-57, do tribunal consistente em 1767-68-69, auditor geral do povo da guerra em 1784, mestre racional da corte do patrimônio real em 1787; Francesco Paolo, como marido de Giovanna Battifora, foi o primeiro barão de Montededero em sua família, um título que foi reconhecido com RR. LL. PP. 15 de outubro de 1904, para Francesco Paolo e Ventura (de Giuseppe, de Francesco Paolo predetto), pai de Giuseppe, Giovanna e Teresa.
