Antica famiglia di Bassano, originaria da Mandello sul lago di Como e stabilitasi in Bassano, per ragioni di commercio, sul finire del sec. XVI. Arricchitasi acquistò posizione considerevole, tanto che nel 1630 fu proposta all'aggregazione del Consiglio, ma la proposta non fu accolta e solo due anni dopo vi fu ammessa in persona di Vittore. Fu così compresa nell'elenco delle fam. nobili di Bassano, approvato da Senato Veneto con Decreto 28 sett. 1726; la detta nobiltà fu confermata con S.R. dell'imperatore d'Austria del 20 ott. 1822 e riconosciuta con D.M. 30 ott. 1889. Inoltre con R.D. 6 dix. 1928 e RR. LL. PP. 20 dic. stesso anno, ai discendenti dal nob. Bartolomeo Andrea, di Vittore, S.M. Vitt. Emanuele III, re d'Italia, concesse il titolo di conte con successione primogeniale mascolina. La famiglia è iscritta nel Libro d'Oro della Nobiltà Italiana e nell'Elenco Ufficiale Nobiliare Italiano coi titoli di nobile (mf.),
