Das Jahrbuch des italienischen Adels mit dem blasonischen historischen Wörterbuch der italienischen Adelsfamilien, das von GB di Crollalanza begonnen und anschließend von seinem Sohn Goffredo fortgesetzt wurde, erwähnt diese berühmte Familie, die ursprünglich aus dem Piemont stammt. Diese Linie erscheint mit großem Glanz unter dem piemontesischen Adel, dessen Vorfahren, die bereits viele Jahrhunderte zuvor nach Piemont gekommen waren, mit ihrem vorbereiteten Ruf ihren Ehrenweg unter den großen Würden des Heimatlandes hinuntergegangen sind. Giovanni Michele, Nizza, Arzt von Herzog Carlo Emanuele II., Hatte 1661 die Gerichtsbarkeit von Madraudel und Monteclivo. Giovanni Andrea wurde 1782 zum Grafen der Gemeinde Naz ernannt.
