Cette maison est originaire de Vézon (Vaucluse), d'où elle vint à Villeneuve-de-Berg, en Vivarais. En 1668, Martin, était maître particulier des eaux et forêts des diocèses de Viviers, du Puy et d'Uzès. Ces personnages brillèrent pendant cinq générations puis se fondirent en 1714 dans la maison de marcha de St-Pierreville. On trouve cette famille au XVIIème siècle à Vesseaux; le 3 mai 1683, rémission faite par Blanche, veuve de Claude de Surville, dans sa maison de Vesseau. Marguerite, veuve de Louis-Gaspard de Mailhan, émigra en 1792. Elle avait hérité de sa tante (Blanche, femme de Claude de Surville) qui avait des grands biens dans le Coiron. En avril 1731, Jean-Marc de Marcha épousa Françoise fille de René, comte d'Oriple de St-Nazaire et de Marguerite-Rose de Prévenchère, dont il eut onze enfants. Ces personnages furent seigneurs de Saint-Nazaire de 1560 à 1700.
